The Borno State Police Command has successfully removed and detonated two Improvised Explosive Devices IEDs planted by insurgents along the Ngwaom–Mafa Road, a critical route in the state.
The explosives were discovered during a post-attack assessment visit* by Governor Babagana Zulum, Commissioner of Police Naziru Abdulmajid, and senior military officers to Mafa and Dikwa Local Government Areas on October 22–24, 2025.
The controlled detonation prevented harm to security personnel and commuters.
