Officers from the Katsina State Police Command have successfully rescued 26-year-old Mubarak Haruna, who was kidnapped about a month ago in the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina.
The victim, a resident of Tudun Yanlihidda in Katsina, was taken by armed kidnappers while traveling in a commercial vehicle on the road from Katsina to Magamar Jibia near Kwarare village.
According to a statement from the Katsina State Police, the rescue operation took place on October 24, 2024, at approximately 6:30 a.m. when police operatives, on routine patrol near Kukar Babangida village, located and rescued Haruna.
The police reported that Haruna is currently receiving medical attention. Authorities are intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend those responsible as the investigation continues.
