Nigerian skit maker and content creator, Raji Samad Adetola, popularly known as Mr. Sanku Comedy, has died following a ghastly car accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road in Ibadan on Monday morning.
Reports indicated that the comedian was travelling with a friend when their vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a ditch. Both victims were rushed to the hospital but were pronounced dead a few hours later.
Mr. Sanku, who began his comedy career in 2021, quickly rose to fame for his unique storytelling and skit style that earned him a growing fan base online. His sudden death has sparked an outpouring of grief across social media.
Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa expressed her shock in a post on Instagram, revealing that she had asked a student near Bowen Hospital to check on the skit maker after hearing of the accident. According to her, she was initially told he was responding to treatment. “I prayed so hard against death,” she wrote, “but sadly, Sanku still passed on.”
The late content creator is being remembered by fans and colleagues as a vibrant talent whose promising career was cut short too soon.
