Wasiu Akinwande, alias Olori Esho, faces multiple charges, including murder and unlawful possession of firearms. According to the charges, Akinwande and others at large allegedly killed five people, including a 10-year-old girl, Aminat Lateef, during a clash between factions.
The charges also state that Akinwande and his accomplices possessed prohibited firearms, including AK-47 rifles, live ammunition, and walkie-talkies, without justification. Additionally, they allegedly attempted to kill and caused grievous harm to 58-year-old Awawu Ajalara, resulting in permanent disability.
The offences contravene various sections of the Laws of Lagos State and the Firearms Act, and are punishable under the respective laws.
