A man suspected to be attempting to vandalize electricity cables was electrocuted in Aba, Abia State.
The incident, which occurred near a transformer, drew the attention of residents and passers-by, many of whom gathered to observe the scene.
Eyewitnesses said the man had tried to cut live cables connected to the transformer before being fatally shocked.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident, but residents described it as a grim reminder of the dangers of tampering with electrical installations.
