The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of Atiku Mu’azu, a retired Permanent Secretary and former Chairman of the Gombe State Board of Internal Revenue Service. Mu’azu was reportedly abducted and killed in Kano State, where he had been residing after his retirement
According to SP Haruna Abdullahi,the command’s Public Relations Officer, the three suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court for prosecution once the investigation is completed
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, expressed shock and sadness over Mu’azu’s death, commending the swift response of security agencies
In a separate incident, gunmen suspected to be kidnappers abducted a young lady, Zainab, in Garo town, Kano State. The police have launched a rescue operation to rescue the victim and apprehend the suspects
