The Saint-Germain Paris President, PSG, Nassir Al-Khelaifi, has expressed delight over Lionel Messi’s decision to join the team.
Al-Khelaifi said PSG is proud that Messi opted to join the club.
This was disclosed via PSG’s verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
According to Al-Khelaïfi: “I am delighted that Lionel Messi has chosen to join Paris Saint-Germain and we are proud to welcome him to Paris, with his family.”
Messi signed for PSG yesterday after his contract with Barcelona expired.
The Argentine superstar signed a two-year deal with an option of a third year.
Meanwhile, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner had described PSG’s squad as ‘talented,’ adding that everything about the French Ligue 1 giants matches his football ambitions.
