The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Edo State branch, has commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for his renewed investment in the state’s health sector, describing it as a major boost for healthcare delivery. In a statement signed by its Chairman, Dr. Eustace Oseghale, and made available to journalists in Benin City on Friday, the Association expressed excitement over the planned establishment of a modern Paediatric Centre at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). Dr. Oseghale noted that the project, valued at ₦2.5 billion, would significantly improve child healthcare services in Edo State and beyond, given UBTH’s wide catchment area that serves over eight states. The NMA also hailed the Governor’s planned renovation of the Resident Doctors’ Quarters in Benin, as well as the payment of the Medical Residency Training Fund for members of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) under Edo State Government employment. “We are particularly thrilled about the planned establishment of a modern Paediatric Centre at UBTH, a project estimated at ₦2.5 billion. This initiative will greatly enhance child care services in Edo State and beyond,” Dr. Oseghale stated. He added: “We also applaud the planned renovation of the Resident Doctors’ Quarters in Ezoti, Benin City, and the payment of the Medical Residency Training Fund for our members in the Association of Resident Doctors.” While congratulating Governor Okpebholo on his 55th birthday, the NMA chairman prayed for long life, good health, and greater wisdom for him to continue delivering quality service to Edo people and Nigeria at large.

At the continuation of the examinations on Wednesday, the team of Abdulmalik Ahmed and Ali Yero affirmed installment of N3 million for occupations at FCC.

As per Ahmed, they consented to pay the immense amount of cash in the wake of getting the affirmations that they would be among the principal people to be utilized in 2021.

He said, “We discovered that there was enrollment in 2021 and every one of the magistrates and chiefs had applicants. We who were nobodys, customary residents of the country, we got through this interaction.”

“In the wake of having the arrangements, Mr. Kolo vowed to post us like in two months’ time. That was the explanation we were persuaded about him. I got to know Kolo through the driver of the Taraba Magistrate at FCC. I moved 1,000,000 naira to Kolo’s record on the course of action, since I was informed that, the regularly scheduled pay was about N140,000 or N130,000. In this way, we settled on N1.5million with the driver first. We dealt with the driver for the benefit of Kolo. He is Yusha’u Gambo.”

On his part, Yero said his two siblings paid N2million in portions to get the occupation for him.

He noticed that one of them paid N1.5m while the other paid N500,000 as equilibrium.

“My siblings, Nurudeen Yero and Abdulrazak Yero paid the amount of N2m to Badamasi Yaro’s record on August 2, 2022. Badamasi Yaro is working with Haruna Kolo and the cash paid into his record was for a task at the FCC.

“Haruna Kolo let me know the space was from the administrator of the commission. For that reason I would be caught under the IPPIS stage. Badamasi carried the work letter for certain records for me on August 5, 2022, Badamasi took me to Depository House where Kolo Haruna took me to the IPPIS office and I was caught on the IPPIS stage”.

They added anyway that their arrangement letters were subsequently gathered from them by the HR Unit with a guarantee to regularize them after an examination.

Despite the fact that his arrangement letter was gathered from him, Yero said he was all the while getting pay rates.

After their entries, Director of the Board of trustees, Yusuf Gagdi, advised the observers to contact different candidates required to empower the council to organize a gathering with them.

He from there on guided the Representative to welcome Kolo, the Secretary and driver to the Magistrate addressing Taraba in the FCC to show up before Council on Wednesday to make sense of their jobs as intermediaries in the supposed work racketeering.Finance manager hits spouse’s head against all, casualty bites the dustWithout working, I procured compensations subsequent to paying N1m for work space at FCC, Lady tells test board
