Over 9,600 individuals have lost their lives as a result of the twin earthquakes that hit the border regions of Turkey and Syria.
At least 7,108 people have perished in Turkey as a result of the earthquake, which is now three days old; in Syria, the death toll stands at 2,530.
Anadolu news agency reports that Turkish President Recep Erdogan would visit earthquake-affected communities in the country’s southern region.
The governor has proclaimed a state of emergency for three months in ten counties.
Many nations’ governments have dispatched rescue teams to the afflicted areas, and others have kept up their previous aid to Turkey and Syria.
