AKWA IBOM AVIATION DEY RISE AS IBOM AIR JUST RECEIVE THEIR THIRD BRAND NEW AIRCRAFT.

Akwa Ibom State don receive di third brand new aircraft for Ibom Air as di state dey continue for expand im aviation business and turn Uyo into one strong regional aviation centre.

Di new aircraft na Airbus A220-300, and dem formally receive am for Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo. Di aircraft na part of 10 new planes wey Ibom Air dey acquire for im fleet expansion programme.

One big thing wey happen na say di plane fly direct from Maastricht for Netherlands come Uyo, without stopping for Lagos or Abuja. Governor Umo Eno say dis na strong proof say Victor Attah International Airport don enter another level for international aviation.

Governor Eno thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo for di support wey dem dey give to Akwa Ibom aviation development.

E talk say: “Dis one na Uyo straight. E no stop anywhere. E just enter Uyo direct.”

Di Governor also highlight how di aviation investment dey give young people from Akwa Ibom opportunity. According to am, Ibom Air get 30 pilots, and 14 of dem na Akwa Ibom indigenes. Among di airline 40 aircraft engineers, 16 na indigenes of di state.

Government don also sponsor aviation training for more young people. About 10 Akwa Ibom people dey train for Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, while another 10 cadet pilots dey train for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Governor Eno say di airline plus other aviation activities around am don create about 2,000 direct jobs, and government see di investment as something wey fit build long-term aviation industry for di state.

CAPTAIN RUTH ADEBANWO GET SPECIAL RECOGNITION

One of di main highlights na when dem honour Captain Ruth Adebanwo, di Chief Pilot of Ibom Air, wey fly di new Airbus A220-300 enter Nigeria.

Governor Eno use di occasion encourage girls and women for Nigeria say dem no suppose allow challenges stop dem from chasing leadership and professional dreams.

E talk say every girl pikin deserve encouragement and opportunity to succeed.

AKPABIO HAIL GOVERNOR ENO AND IBOM AIR

Senate President Godswill Akpabio specially come Uyo to witness di aircraft reception. E congratulate Governor Eno and Ibom Air management, describing di development as evidence say di vision for Akwa Ibom aviation dey gradually become reality.

Akpabio recall say Governor Eno tell am about di aircraft during an inspection trip for Canada, and e promise say e go attend di official reception.

E also praise di state for continuing some aviation projects wey previous administrations start. Akpabio remember say during im time as governor, work happen around di airport runway, aprons and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facilities.

According to am, di airport transformation, including di new terminal and taxiway, show say continuity for government fit bring better development.

NEW AIRCRAFT GO IMPROVE IBOM AIR OPERATIONS

Captain Ruth Adebanwo explain say di Airbus A220-300 get modern aviation technology, better fuel efficiency, lower emissions and noise, longer flying range and improved passenger comfort.

E assure passengers say Ibom Air go continue to put safety, professionalism and operational excellence first.

For im own side, Ibom Air Chairman, Captain Mfon Udom, say di arrival of di new aircraft go help di airline restore full flight operations after some aircraft go through scheduled maintenance.

E announce say Ibom Air plan to resume three daily flights from Uyo to Abuja and three daily flights from Uyo to Lagos, while di airline dey prepare to expand im regional operations.

Captain Udom also say di aircraft acquisition get support from Akwa Ibom State Government and financial institutions. E appreciate di Ministry of Aviation for helping Ibom Air move into di new international terminal.

E explain say as di airport don get better facilities, di airline also need to increase im operations to match di new standard.

Dis latest aircraft addition mean say Ibom Air dey gradually strengthen im fleet as Akwa Ibom government dey position di airline and Victor Attah International Airport as important players for regional air travel.
