13 June 2023: Suspected kidnapper slumps and passes away while attempting to evade arrest A suspected kidnapper who was a member of a syndicate that kidnapped a 23-year-old Bauchi State University student passed away while attempting to evade arrest at a military checkpoint.
It was said that the deceased person and two others who kidnapped the student also stole a 2010 Toyota Camry, which they used to take the victim away.

“However, one of the suspects, Damilola James, male, of the Turum area of Bauchi, slumped while attempting to escape before reaching the checkpoint. He was taken to Federal Medical Center (FMC) Azare for immediate medical attention but certified dead by a medical doctor,” according to the report.
He stated that the exhibits found in the possession of the suspects are: Juju) consists of eight distinct mobile phones, knives, and various charms.
