The incident took place at the center's Emure Ile Comprehensive Health Centre. A security officer, a health assistant, and a nurse were among the suspects, according to the police, but their identities were not made public. However, the arrested health workers claimed that a stray dog invaded the hospital and removed the placenta while the father of the baby, Tunde Ijanusi, and other family members continued to demand it after his wife gave birth to the baby girl at the facility. The 23-year-old father lamented the development and said that the health workers' refusal to give them the placenta was concerning. He also said that necessary action must be taken to ensure that justice is served in the case. "The baby girl was born on June 15, 2023, at the Comprehensive Health Centre in Emure Ile, and the health workers who took the delivery have not given us the placenta since," he stated. This really worries us a lot. Funmilayo Ijanusi, the infant's paternal grandmother, stated that the staff at the hospital claimed that a dog entered the facility and removed the placenta. Funmilayo Odunlami, the state Public Relations Officer, stated that the case was under investigation. The PPRO stated, "While an investigation is ongoing, the nurse, health assistant, and security officer are already with us
