Justice Adeola Olatunbosun on Thursday requested that five men summoned for having Indian hemp and two sacks of phony unfamiliar monetary standards be kept in police authority until lawful guidance from the Directorate of Public Arraignment is prepared.

The suspects, Francis Omwukei, 26; Kingsley Ude, 33; Umar Idris, 37; Eyo, 27 and Ministerial portfolios: Oil workers demand results as Tinubu heads petroleum ministryBrilliant Ahamefula, 26, were summoned under the watchful eye of a Yaba Judges’ Court on a two-count charge of ownership of Indian hemp and phony unfamiliar monetary forms; Pounds Authentic and US dollars.

The investigator, Rita Momoh, let the court know that the litigants were captured on August 9, 2023, at White Sand, Ijora, Lagos State.

As per Momoh, the litigants were found having substances thought to be Indian hemp and showing them out in the open, an offense that was fit for causing a break of harmony.

She added that the offense contradicted and is culpable under Segments 329 and 442 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos Territory of Nigeria.

The charge read to some extent, “That you, Francis Omwukei, Kingsley Ude, Umar Idris, Eyo, and Splendid Ahamefula, on August 9, 2023, at White Sand, Ijora, in Lagos, in the Lagos State Authoritative Area, did unlawfully possessed leaves thought to be Indian hemp and two sacks containing counterfeit US Dollar cash, and pounds authentic money, and consequently carried out an offense as opposed to and culpable under Segment 329 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos Province of Nigeria, 2015.”

The justice requested that without a remand warrant, the respondents be saved in police guardianship for seven days, while the police copy and send the document to the DPP for legitimate exhortation.
