Lagos State Government paid 644 retired people N2.02bn retirement benefits in August.

 

This was made public on Thursday during the ceremony to present the 101st retirement bond certificate in Lagos, which attracted a large number of state retirees.

Talking at the occasion, the Chief General, Lagos State Annuity Commission, Mr Babalola Obilana, said, the retirement bond declarations represented something other than monetary prizes, however addressed the trust and certainty LagLagos State Government paid 644 retired people N2.02bn retirement benefits in August.os had in its retired folks.

“Today, the organization of Lead representative Babajide Sanwo-Olu will give one more arrangement of 644 retired folks an amount of N2.02bn just, being their previous help benefits preceding the beginning of the Contributory Benefits Plan in 2007,” he said.

He stated that the certificates demonstrated their lasting impact.

He stated, “Your hard work has set a high standard for those who will carry the state forward.” Furthermore, “your dedication has been the bedrock of the “goal of a greater Lagos”

The chief general commended the retired folks for their remarkable commitments and devotion.

He additionally said thanks to Sanwo-Olu for guaranteeing the steady installment of annuity liabilities to its retired people.

As per him, Sanwo-Olu had shown extraordinary obligation to the beliefs of the CPS, and focused on the government assistance of the public help labor force even in retirement.

“This ceremony of presenting retirement bond certificates is not just a formality; it is a second to ponder the noteworthy commitments all of you have made,” the chief general said.
