The coalition, dubbed “Sabo Tafiya (New Path),” aims to deliver good governance to Nigerians of all walks of life. Atiku urged Nigerians to resist financial inducements by politicians, saying, “Don’t be disrupted by people giving you pennies or kobos here and there, and then abandon your future and your children’s future.” This statement underscores the importance of prioritizing long-term benefits over short-term gains.
Atiku’s coalition appears to be gaining momentum, with notable figures like former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai and Dele Momodu rallying behind him. This development is significant, given the 2027 election timeline and President Tinubu’s impending departure from the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
Atiku’s announcement comes on the heels of controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, which has sparked condemnations from various quarters. The former Vice President’s coalition aims to capitalize on these developments to push for a new path forward for Nigeria
