Tragedy Strikes Ghana: 19-Year-Old Nigerian Artiste Beaten to Death

A 19-year-old upcoming Nigerian artiste, known as Destiny, has been brutally beaten to death in the Volta Region of Ghana. The incident occurred on May 28, 2025, and has left the music community in shock.

According to reports, Destiny was accused by a fellow Nigerian resident in Ghana of failing to remit funds related to a business venture they introduced him to. The accused, who allegedly facilitated Destiny’s trip to Ghana and provided him with accommodation, stormed his apartment with two others to question him about the funds. Destiny’s failure to provide satisfactory answers led to a severe assault, resulting in his death

The police discovered Destiny’s corpse a few days after the incident, and an investigation is currently underway. However, no suspects have been arrested yet. Friends and family of the deceased are hoping that the Ghanaian authorities will bring the perpetrators to justice

Destiny shared his plans and aspirations. He described himself as a streamer, artiste, and gamer, and expressed his desire to apply to Streamers University. His dreams were cut short in the brutal attack.

This incident comes on the heels of another tragic event involving a Nigerian citizen. In April, a 77-year-old Nigerian Uber driver, Olatunji Bolaji, was fatally shot outside a hookah lounge in Philadelphia, United States. The incident highlights the vulnerability of individuals, particularly those living abroad

The Ghanaian police are yet to comment on the incident, but the case has sparked widespread concern and outrage. As the investigation continues, many are hoping for justice to be served
