The pride of Ogun State team Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) move top of the Nigeria National League (NNL) B2 league table with a 5-0 victory over Godosky FC in Matchday one of the competition, Obaland Magazine learnt.

Goals from the captain of the side, Nduka Junior, Morgan Agbeko, and an own goal saw it all for the Sky Blue Stars at Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne-Remo.

The host got their first chance at goal through Ogunribide Oluwaseun after a wonderful free-kick was taken by Ismail Sodiq, and he anxiously put his chance wide.

The captain of the home side, Nduka Junior carefully slotted in a spot-kick to give the Sky Blue Stars the league after Odunayo Ogunsuyi was fouled inside the box.

Obaland Magazine gathered that Ogunribide Oluwaseun had another opportunity to extend the lead for the host but his free-kick went directly into the hands of Godosky Goalkeeper, Olatunji Kareem.

The visitors came close to leveling up in the closing minutes of the first half through Odili Emmanuel but Okeshina Oluwaseun was available to deny his attempt.

The second half started with the introduction of Morgan Agbeko and Collins Victor for Odunayo Ogunsuyi and Ogunribide Oluwaseun. Immediately after the introduction, Morgan Agbeko had an attempt to increase our tally but after finding a bit of space to convert, his attempt went wide.

Just immediately after his missed opportunity, he rose above all defenders with a beautiful header to increase the tally for the host from Ismail Sodiq’s free-kick.

Within minutes, Akanni Qudus had a little space to try his luck from distance and it indeed profited the team with a deflected effort from Ayiba Edwin to make it three goals to nil in the favor of the host.

While the visitors were trying to reduce the deficit, Morgan Agbeko found space to tap in from close range to give the Sky Blue Stars a 4 goals lead against the Anambra boys.

The host continued to mount pressure on the visitors and it yielded more profit for them as Samuel Wisdom finally put the icing on the cake for the Sky Blue Stars to make it 5 goals.

Godosky FC continues to find a consolidation goal towards the closing minutes of the game and it proved abortive all through the remaining part of the game.

The Sky Blue Stars will look to continue this form next weekend when they travel to face Bayelsa FC in matchday two of the competition in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The Nigerian team dominated the game, showcasing their skill and experience. The team's depth and talent were too much for Cameroon to handle, leading to a convincing 36-point victory. D'Tigress will now face Senegal in the semifinals, looking to continue their impressive performance and make a strong bid for their seventh title. The team's next match will be a crucial test of their skills and determination.
