Alleged Abduction Incident Emerges in Ogun State

in the Sango Ota area of Ogun State, an unidentified woman has reportedly abducted two minors, both sons of her landlord and neighbor, just three days after moving into the apartment. The incident was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola.

The landlord, Johnson Oshinowo, reported the abduction to the police, stating that the woman, who rented the apartment on December 7, 2023, disappeared with his son and the son of another neighbor, both four years old. What adds to the complexity of the situation is that the woman had no known identity, as no profile check was conducted by the landlord or the house agent before renting the apartment.

Odutola, providing details on the incident, mentioned that the police were alerted on December 12, 2023, and immediately launched an investigation. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the woman had spent only three days in the rented house without any background information. Furthermore, the landlord and the house agent had no profile or information on the suspect.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alamutu, has directed a discrete investigation to track down the suspect and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted children. The urgency and gravity of the situation have prompted the police to intensify efforts to bring the alleged abductor to justice.
