At the Cross River, Obi prevails against Tinubu and Atiku.

Peter Obi, who was running as a candidate for the Labour Party, has been proclaimed the victor in the presidential election that was held in the state of Cross River.

Mr Obi won the election with a vote total of 179,917, defeating his closest opponent, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had a vote total of 130,520.

Atiku Abubakar, a candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), received 95,425 votes, placing him in third place in the state.

In the presidential election, there were a total of 18 candidates vying for the position of president. Based on the results that have been tallied up thus far, Messrs. Obi, Tinubu, and Atiku are the top three contenders.

Official figures compiled by newsmen indicate that Mr Tinubu now has an early advantage over the other candidates.
