The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) condemned the kidnapping, urging the Federal Civil Service Commission to hold promotion exams locally to avoid such dangerous travel. The Defence Ministry has deployed specialised security teams to Kogi State to hunt for the abductors
In a separate incident, three youths from Duduguru in Nasarawa’s Keana LGA were killed by bandits on Gidan‑Raid Road. Two more were shot dead and a third was taken hostage during a night raid at nearby Sarkin Noma
The killings have prompted residents to appeal to President Donald Trump, hoping his promised “invasion” might bring an end to the violence, while others warn against foreign military action
Both the ASCSN and the Defence Ministry have vowed to secure the release of the directors and to improve security for civil servants travelling on Nigeria’s highways.
The government says it
is intensifying efforts to locate the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice
