Former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) star Bella Okagbue has publicly addressed the end of her relationship with fellow reality television personality Segun “Sheggz” Olusemo, saying broken promises, diminished trust and the need to protect her peace ultimately influenced her decision to walk away.

Bella’s comments come days after Sheggz confirmed that their relationship had ended in January 2026, bringing an end to months of speculation surrounding one of the most prominent relationships to emerge from the 2022 BBNaija Level Up season. Sheggz also denied allegations of infidelity and abuse and said the pair had made attempts to reconcile after their initial separation.

In a statement shared on social media and reported by Nigerian media outlets, Bella said she had genuinely loved her former partner and deliberately gave the relationship another opportunity because she believed people could change. Legit.ng reported that leaked WhatsApp conversations purportedly from October 2023 showed Bella telling Sheggz’s mother that he owed her the money and that attempts to discuss the alleged debt had resulted in disagreements.
