Burna Boy Reveals Vinicius Jr. and Jaylen Brown Are Plotting Nigeria Visit.
Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy has disclosed that Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior and NBA champion Jaylen Brown are among international celebrities discussing a possible trip to Nigeria.
The revelation has generated interest among fans, particularly because of the global profiles of the two sports stars and their growing connections with Nigerian culture and entertainment.
According to Burna Boy, the three personalities are part of a group chat where plans for a Nigeria visit have been discussed. However, no specific travel date, itinerary or official event has been announced, meaning the proposed visit should be regarded as a plan under discussion rather than a confirmed trip.
Vinicius Junior has previously established a visible connection with Burna Boy and Nigerian music. In January 2025, reports documented a meeting between the Real Madrid star and the Grammy winning Nigerian musician, with Vinicius presenting Burna Boy with a signed Real Madrid shirt. Spanish outlet LOS40 also reported that Vinicius and other Real Madrid players had interacted with Burna Boy in Paris.
Brown, meanwhile, has also expressed admiration for Burna Boy’s music. In an interview reported by Billboard, the Boston Celtics star named Burna Boy among artists who inspire him and indicated an openness to future creative collaborations.
The reported Nigeria plans come against the backdrop of Burna Boy’s increasingly prominent role in global entertainment. His international profile was further highlighted in July 2026 when he performed at the FIFA World Cup, an appearance that drew significant attention to Nigeria and Afrobeats on the global stage.
While a visit by Vinicius Junior and Jaylen Brown would likely attract considerable attention in Nigeria, there is currently no publicly confirmed date or official announcement from either sports star. Obaland Magazine will continue to monitor developments and provide updates if the proposed visit becomes formally confirmed.
