Witnesses reported that the assailants intercepted the victim’s vehicle near Ezeani Primary School, where they forcibly removed him from his car, a Toyota Corolla, after smashing its windows and injuring him. An eyewitness, who chose to remain anonymous, recounted that the attack occurred around 6:47 PM. The victim’s face was covered in blood when he was taken, making it difficult to identify him.

The gunmen abandoned the victim’s vehicle at the scene, which was left blood-stained, leading residents to flee in fear and observe from a distance. A trending video on social media confirmed the incident, showing the abandoned car.

The Anambra State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the matter. SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson, stated that preliminary information indicates the victim was abducted by unidentified individuals. Law enforcement is collaborating with local residents to facilitate the victim’s rescue and apprehend the suspects.
