Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, alongside his father, business mogul Chief Adedeji Adeleke, and Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, drew public attention as photos of the visit surfaced on social media, showing the Afrobeats icon seated beside President Tinubu, dressed in traditional agbada attire and sharing light moments with the Nigerian leader.
Also present was Governor Ademola Adeleke, a known member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and political leader in Osun State. The presence of the Adeleke family in Aso Rock has sparked public interest, given the political dynamics between the PDP and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Details of the closed-door meeting were not made public, but sources within the presidency hinted that the visit was a family courtesy call, aimed at fostering cordial relationships and discussing matters of mutual interest.
Davido, who is widely regarded as one of Africa’s leading music exports, has maintained close family ties with political figures in Osun State, including his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke. The visit marks a significant public appearance of the Adeleke family within the presidential villa since the swearing-in of President Tinubu.
