2. Again, the Restoration Team has just approved a Government Science & Technical College (GSTC), Okpella. The deputy governor, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu called to direct me to take the Project Lead Consultant, Mr. Giles, to Okpella to assess and conduct an aerial survey of Afokpella Secondary School for the project. I just returned from that trip to Okpella, where our youth leaders gathered to welcome the Project Team. Meanwhile, as muted by Mr. Giles, I’ve called both the Managing Director of BUA Cement, Engr. Yusuf Haliru Binji and the Executive Director of Dangote Cement, Mr. Edwin Devakumar, expect a reach out from Mr. Giles to request the skill sets required in the cement industry.

3. This is why it was stated earlier that Okpella, the goose that lays the golden eggs in Edo state, now tops the priority of this government. This never happened in the previous government where Oshiomhole’s special hatred for Okpella and the stomach infrastructure of Okpella tired political leaders conspired to relegate the development aspirations of the community into an end in itself. Okpella now has a caring and fair leader of all Afemais. And that is Comrade Philip Shaibu!
