The players showed determination, discipline and hunger throughout the game, and they deserve commendation for making Edo State proud,” he said.
Enabulele specifically praised Chioma Moses for her clinical first-half brace, while also applauding Precious Oscar and Mary Mamudu for their goals, which completed the dominant victory for the Benin-based side.
According to him, the result reflects the quality, depth and fighting spirit that have consistently distinguished Edo Queens as one of Nigeria’s leading women’s football clubs.
“This victory is more than just three points; it is a strong statement to other contenders that Edo Queens remain a force to be reckoned with. The players and technical crew have demonstrated the mentality required to compete at the highest level and challenge for the title,” he added.
The Sports Commission boss also commended the technical crew led by Coach Moses Aduku for their tactical discipline and commitment, which helped the team bounce back strongly in the competition.
While celebrating the victory, Enabulele urged the players to remain focused and avoid complacency as the Super Six enters a crucial stage, stressing that every remaining fixture will be vital in the race for the championship.
“The victory is encouraging, but the job is not done yet. I urge the team to maintain the same level of commitment, concentration and determination in the remaining matches. Edo people believe in you, and we are confident that you can sustain this momentum and finish strongly,” he stated.
