Fallen Heroes: NSCDC Officers’ Wives Flag Off Monthly Food Distribution to Widows

The Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has initiated a monthly food distribution program for widows of fallen heroes of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). The program, themed “Women and Economic Survival: Creative Paths to Family Sustainability,” aims to provide support to 450 beneficiaries, including members, widows of fallen heroes, and officers of the NSCDC.

Empowering Women through Economic Support
The Chairperson of CDOWA FCT, Mrs. Bolanle Olayinka Odumosu, emphasized that the initiative goes beyond food distribution, highlighting its role in promoting love, unity, and mutual support within the Civil Defence community. She noted that wives and families of officers play a crucial role in sustaining morale and stability.

The program will provide food items to 450 beneficiaries, including widows of fallen heroes and officers of the NSCDC.
The event featured a lecture on empowering women to navigate economic challenges through creativity and resilience.
CDOWA partnered with FoodBank Naija to make the food distribution possible.
