Four hard drug syndicates were arraigned on by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in front of a Federal High Court in Lagos State for illegal importing prohibited substances.
The respondents who were summoned before Equity Daniel Osiagor are Ogunmeru Oluwafunsho, 49, Adewale Adegbeti, 42, Adeleke Abdulrazaq, 43, and Dairo Quam, 22.
They have been targeted by the NDLEA on two counts of conspiracy and illegal drug exportation.
Augustine Nwagu, the prosecutor, told the court that the defendants were arrested on March 10, 2023, during the inward cargo clearance of an Ethiopian airline flight from Johannesburg, South Africa, via Addis Ababa, at the SAHCO import shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
