Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, don assure say im government go continue to give Nigerian Army and oda security agencies strong support so dem fit protect important government property, oil facilities and oda critical infrastructure for di state.

Di governor make dis promise wen di new General Officer Commanding (GOC), 6 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Everest Okoro, come Government House for Port Harcourt for courtesy visit.

Fubara talk say di security situation wey di country dey face now need government, military, police, communities and oda security agencies to work together. E say Rivers government go strengthen im relationship wit di Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force and oda security outfits to make sure say lives, property and important infrastructure dey safe.

Di governor also praise di Chief of Army Staff for choosing Port Harcourt as di venue for di recent Nigerian Army Day celebration.

According to am, di decision show say di Army recognize di strong relationship wey dey between di military and Rivers State government.

Fubara say di relative peace wey Rivers dey enjoy no be achievement of government alone. E acknowledge di work wey Nigerian Army and oda sister security agencies dey do to maintain peace and stability for di state.
