Funke Akindele, now a Nollywood mogul, recently shared the pivotal moment that launched her career: earning her first *N1 million in 1999* through her role as Bisi in the UNFPA-sponsored TV series _I Need to Know_. The series, which aired from 1998 to 2002, tackled adolescent health and social issues and became a national hit, catapulting Akindele into the spotlight.

Akindele began her acting journey in 1996 with minor “waka-pass” roles and faced numerous audition rejections before landing the role of Bisi.
