The Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended warm birthday wishes to a distinguished son of Edo State and respected statesman, Dr. Pius Odubu, as he marks another year of life.
In a goodwill message conveyed through his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo hailed Dr. Odubu’s unwavering dedication to public service and his invaluable contributions to the growth and progress of both Edo State and Nigeria.
“Dr. Pius Odubu remains a man of great honour and a pillar in our political landscape,” the Governor remarked. “His exemplary service, notably as former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has left lasting footprints in our collective history. He stands tall as a symbol of resilience, wisdom, and purposeful leadership.”
Governor Okpebholo further commended Dr. Odubu for his continued involvement in nation-building and for serving as a mentor to the next generation of leaders.
“We celebrate not just his achievements, but also his character — marked by integrity, hard work, and an unyielding commitment to the welfare of our people,” the statement read. “Dr. Odubu’s life story is a shining example of what can be accomplished through service-driven leadership.”
On behalf of the government and good people of Edo State, Governor Okpebholo prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Dr. Odubu, wishing him many more years of sound health, wisdom, and impactful service to humanity.
“Happy birthday to a true son of Edo and a statesman of rare distinction. May God Almighty strengthen him and grant him greater grace in the years ahead,” the Governor concluded.
