The Commissioner, who made the appeal in a statement in Benin City, noted that the safety and security of the state are paramount to attracting investments, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the well-being of the citizens.

“We cannot afford to let the activities of a few misguided individuals undermine our collective progress. The Governor has demonstrated his commitment to securing the State and creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

“Governor Okpebholo has strengthened security agencies and improved their capacity to tackle security challenges and has promoted collaboration between security agencies and local communities to prevent and address security issues.

“The Commissioner urged all Edo people to be vigilant and join forces with the government by reporting suspicious activities, providing intelligence, and supporting the security agencies in their efforts to maintain law and order. Together, we can create a safe and prosperous environment for all.

“Major criminal ring operating in the state, and many suspected cultists have been arrested across the state as the Edo State Special Squad cracks down on criminal activities.

While disclosing that the security architecture put in place by the Governor has been yielding positive results, Ohonbamu advised all criminals to relocate out of the state.

” Governor Okpebholo’s vision is to ensure a secure and prosperous Edo State, and we are confident that with collective effort, we can achieve our goals.

” If you have information about criminal activities, report it to the authorities. Let’s join forces with Governor Okpebholo to create a safe, secure, and prosperous Edo State,” the Commissioner added.
