The new deadline na Wednesday, September 30, 2026, wey go replace the earlier deadline of Monday, August 31. The extension dey affect candidates wey their admission offers, whether through the regular admission process or the Centralised University and Institution Admission (CUIIA) process, still dey pending for the JAMB platform.

JAMB Acting Director of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, announce the extension for statement wey dem issue on Saturday. The Board talk say the new deadline na final chance for candidates wey dey affected to regularise their admission status and make am clear if dem wan accept or reject their outstanding offers.

According to the Board, candidates wey get pending offers suppose take action before September 30 instead of waiting till the last day. JAMB warn say if dem no act within the time wey dem give, e fit get consequences for their admission status.

Candidates wey accept their outstanding offers go fit continue with the necessary admission documentation, including printing their admission letters. Those wey reject their offers go see their admission status change to “Not Admitted”, make JAMB fit update their national admission records.

JAMB talk say the extension dey meant to give affected candidates more time while e dey help the Board maintain correct and current records of admissions for Nigerian tertiary institutions.

The Board also clarify say candidates wey don dey study for another place but get outstanding previous admission fit take the right action on the first offer. Candidates wey don secure new admission for the 2026 admission exercise fit reject previous outstanding offer without affecting their new admission, according to reports wey dey quote the Board.

JAMB don stress say the September 30 deadline na final. Outstanding admission offers from 2021 till now wey no dey accepted or rejected after the deadline go automatically change to “Not Admitted” status for the Board records.

This development dey particularly important for candidates wey don leave previous admission offers unattended, as the Board latest directive dey put final deadline on unresolved admission decisions.

Obaland magazine dey advise affected candidates make dem verify their admission status through the right JAMB channels and complete any required action well before the deadline to avoid wahala wey fit come from last-minute attempts.
