Medical services were also maintained during the operation in collaboration with relevant health authorities, according to the Board’s account.

The Kano Hajj administration also attracted attention after the state Pilgrims Welfare Board reported a financial surplus from its 2026 operation.

The Guardian Nigeria reported on July 23 that the Board presented an interim report showing a ₦117 million surplus from its operational budget for the 2026 Hajj exercise. The newspaper also reported that about 3,600 Kano pilgrims returned safely following the pilgrimage.
