A family dispute has erupted among the children of legendary juju musician, King Sunny Ade, over his well-being and whereabouts. Damilola Esther, one of KSA’s daughters, has taken to social media to express her concerns, accusing her step-brother, Dayo, of holding their father hostage and booking him for events without honoring the engagements.
In a series of posts, Damilola questioned her father’s whereabouts, stating, “Dad told my brother that he wants to go home. Where is he? Where are his phones? He has not been online or picking his calls. Where is he?” She also accused Dayo of stealing from KSA and called for his apprehension.
However, Dayo has rubbished the allegations, describing them as false. In an exclusive interview, he stated that KSA is hale and hearty, having performed at a fan’s 60th birthday party on April 26, 2025, and rehearsing with his band members last week. Dayo also revealed that KSA is scheduled to perform in Akure, Ondo State capital, on May 1.
Dayo attributed Damilola’s accusations to her being “not in the right frame of mind” and claimed that she had spoken with KSA on Easter Sunday for about 30 minutes. He expressed disappointment that Damilola would make nasty comments about their father and suggested that KSA would release a statement to clear the air.
David, another son of KSA, has also come out to defend Dayo’s claims. In a separate interview, he stated that their father is fine and not working under duress. David offered to provide more information to prove that KSA is well and

As the situation unfolds, fans and well-wishers are eagerly awaiting KSA’s scheduled performance in Akure, which may help clarify the situation and put the controversy to rest.
