A heated argument between two relatives in Lagos escalated into tragedy on Monday when one cousin fatally stabbed the other during a confrontation.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, the suspect is currently at large. The altercation reportedly occurred around 7 a.m. when Ganiyu Ibrahim and his cousin Afeez Akeem were involved in a disagreement that turned violent. During the argument, Ganiyu allegedly broke a bottle and stabbed Afeez in the left side of his chest.
Afeez was quickly rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff. Following the incident, police detectives were dispatched to the scene to gather evidence and take photographs.
The victim’s family opted for a burial according to Islamic rites and declined an autopsy. The police are continuing
