Manchester United is set to host Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday, and several players have hinted at their involvement in the match. Casemiro and Diogo Dalot have posted pre-match graphics on their Instagram stories, suggesting that they may start against Rangers.
Historically, players who share such graphics have tended to be in the starting XI or at least involved in some capacity. If Casemiro does start, it would represent a change in United’s midfield, with Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo being the preferred partnership in recent matches.
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim will be looking for a response from his team after their defeat to Brighton. Amorim stated that the team can improve right away in the next match and that a good performance against Rangers could change the environment and everything.
United are unbeaten in Europe this season with three wins and three draws, and a win against Rangers could see them qualify for the knockout stages automatically.
