Besides Kim Petras, a first-time candidate, and Sam Smith, a four-time winner, both Luke Combs and Steve Lacy, also nominated, are set to play on Sunday night. Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination for their crazy song “Unholy.”

The awards show will also feature a performance by Harry Styles. Styles is up for a whopping six Grammys this year, including top honours for both “As It Was” and “Harry’s House,” as well as nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

DJ Khaled will be performing the GRAMMY-nominated song “GOD DID” live with his colleagues Friday, JAY-Z, John Legend, Lil Wayne, and Rick Ross.

Stevie Wonder, this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award laureate, will perform at the awards event, as well Smokey Robinson, this year’s GRAMMY Legend Award recipient, and Chris Stapleton, winner of eight Grammys.

The Grammys will feature a special tribute to Hip Hop’s 50th anniversary, highlighting the genre’s groundbreaking history and ongoing worldwide influence with the normal pomp and circumstance of music’s biggest night. Artists such as Big Boi, Busta Rhymes with Spliff Star, De La Soul, DJ Drama, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Missy Elliott, Future, GloRilla, Grandmaster Flash, Grandmaster Mele Mel & Scorpio/Ethiopian King, Ice-T, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne, The Lox, Method Man, Nelly, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Rahiem, Rakim, RUN-DMC, Salt-N

The part will be introduced, performed, and dedicated by LL COOL J. Questlove will be in charge of production and music direction, The Roots will supply the tunes, and Black Thought will give the narration.

Hip-hop has been a cultural force for the past half-century, according to Harvey Mason Jr., CEO of the Recording Academy. “Its influence on other fields such as design, athletics, politics, and social life is immeasurable. I couldn’t be happier that we’re paying such a wonderful tribute to it at the Grammys. This is only the beginning of an entire year dedicated to honouring this vital musical style.”

Trevor Noah, a former host of The Daily Show, will once again serve as presenter of the GRAMMY Awards.

Noah said to Billboard, “I’m a fan of practically all the people that are there,” making it a “cheat code” for him to host music’s biggest night.

He stated, “I am a fan a thousand times over, and what I love about the Grammys is that every year I discover a new musician that I love.” “A lot of preparation goes into the shows, but the audience may not know it. Getting every nuance correct, from the placement of the cameras to the timing of the lighting cues to the performance itself. Going backstage gives you a whole new appreciation for the event, which is one of the reasons why I like it so much.”

Noah said that he enjoys being able to improvise and interact with the audience, but that he does it “in service of the performance.”

“We’re all just want to have a good time. Even though it’s an awards event, it’s also one of the best concerts you’ll ever see “To which he added.
