Methodist prelate and two others, Kidnapped in Abia.
The Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Samuel Kanu Uche was on Sunday kidnapped along Enugu-Port Hacourt express way in Umunneochi Local government area of Abia state.
He was kidnapped alongside the Methodist Bishop of Owerri Rt. Rev. Dennis Mark and the prelates chaplain by yet to be identified gunmen.
The clergymen were kidnapped on Sunday afternoon on their way back from a program in Umunneochi council area.
The Abia state police public Relations officer Geoffrey Ogbonna who confirmed the incident described it as unfortunate and noted that efforts are on to rescue the prelate as well as the other priests with him.
He equally solicits meaningful information from the public on how the victims will regain their freedom.
