Naja’atu Mohammed includes Aisha Buhari in inner circle in Aso Rock.

The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, has been accused of being part of a cabal in the Aso Rock Villa by Naja’atu Mohammed, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

On Monday morning, Ms Mohammed made the explosive accusation in an interview that was broadcast on Arise TV.

Against the backdrop of Nasir El-recent Ruf ai’s claim as governor of Kaduna State, the former head of the APC’s civil society organisations department voiced his comments.

Mr El-Rufai said that there were people within Aso Rock plotting against Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

Ms. Mohammed, however, named the First Lady as a member of the shadowy group, while the Kaduna governor remained mum.

A cabal, she explained, is “a covert political party or faction… they influence and control the system and everything that runs in the government.” I’ll name names, and Aisha Buhari is one of the cabals.

The “Aisha Buhari” who is speaking out now is an insider in the conspiracy. Yes, we were aware of the recent Abba Kyari cabal, the Mamman Daura that Aisha was unable to publicly identify. She avoided naming names when she brought up the cabal; she didn’t have the courage to do so, but for the first time in Nigeria, I did just that.

Many took Mrs Buhari’s decision to share the video in which Mr El-Rufai made his accusation against the cabal as an endorsement of his statement.

Ms Mohammed, however, disagreed with the concept and stated that the First Lady is still a member of the cabal despite her choice to reinforce the assertion made by Mr El-Rufai.
