NiMet Don Talk Say Rain and Sunshine Go Dey Nigeria for Next Three Days!

Di Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, don release fresh weather forecast wey show say different parts of Nigeria go experience rain, thunderstorm, cloudy weather and sunshine between Wednesday, September 16 and Friday, September 18, 2026.

According to di weather outlook wey NiMet Central Forecast Office issue on September 14, di forecast cover Tuesday, September 15 reach Thursday, September 17. Anoda heavy-rain forecast wey di agency issue on September 15 cover September 16 reach September 18.

For Wednesday, September 16, NiMet talk say patches of cloud go dey for northern Nigeria for morning hours, with possibility of thunderstorm and moderate rain for parts of Taraba and Adamawa. Later for afternoon and evening, parts of Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Adamawa and Taraba fit experience thunderstorm with moderate rain.

For North Central, partly cloudy weather dey expected during morning hours, while parts of Kogi, Nasarawa and Benue fit see thunderstorm. As day dey go on, parts of Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa and Niger State fit experience thunderstorm with moderate rain.

For southern Nigeria, NiMet forecast cloudy weather across di region, with possibility of isolated thunderstorms for parts of Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Imo, Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, Anambra, Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa during morning hours. Later for di day, thunderstorm with light rain fit affect most parts of di region.

On Thursday, September 17, partly cloudy weather dey expected across northern Nigeria, while parts of Taraba, Adamawa, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara fit get thunderstorm with light rain for morning hours. Later for di day, parts of Borno, Yobe, Jigawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Adamawa and Taraba fit experience thunderstorm with moderate rain.

For North Central on Thursday, partly cloudy weather go dey during morning hours, with possibility of thunderstorm for parts of Abuja, Niger and Kwara. Later for afternoon and evening, most parts of di region fit get thunderstorm with moderate rain.

For southern Nigeria, NiMet expect cloudy weather and possible morning thunderstorms with light rain for parts of Ogun, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Lagos. Later for di day, most parts of di southern region fit experience thunderstorm with moderate rain.

Di agency too issue separate heavy-rain forecast wey dey valid from September 16 to September 18. For this period, NiMet say moderate to heavy rainfall fit happen for parts of Kaduna, Niger, Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Kogi, Adamawa and Taraba states.

NiMet also forecast light to moderate rainfall for parts of Borno, Bauchi, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Osun, Ondo, Cross River, Ekiti, Edo, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, Imo, Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers states. For oda parts of di kontri, very light rain or no rain dey expected during di forecast period.

NiMet’s official heavy-rain forecast specifically identifies parts of North Central and some southern states as areas wey rainfall risk fit higher during di period.
