NUJ chairman celebrate with Christians this easter

EASTER STATEMENT..
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo state Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has sent a message of felicitations to all Christians and non Christians alike on the celebration of Easter which solidified Christianity in the world today.
In the message, Comrade Festus Alenkhe said Easter celebration bring new beginning, hope and the promise of renewed life.
The statement said the moment is a reflection on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, expressions of joy , gratitude and love.
The statement said the Cross that was carried by Jesus Christ was very heavy but He carried it to wipe away our sins adding that the resurrection is a proof that the Joy of everyone will be sustained with the statement ” lt ls Finished”.
Comrade Alenkhe recalled Acts chapter 13 verse 30 where God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and made the tomb to be empty and pointed out that Easter remains a significant celebration in the lives of Christians in the world.
The statement also prayed for all the practicing Journalists in Edo state asking that the miracle of Easter bring peace to them and their immediate families with eternal love and Peace.
Comrade Festus Alenkhe also sent a message of goodwill to the Governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo , the Deputy Governor , Rt.Hon Dennis Idahosa and all the members of the State Executive Council, praying God to give them the wisdom and guidance to lead Edo State laced with projects, development and peace.
He reminded Journalists on the need to continue to adhere strictly to the ethics of the journalism profession by ensuring that the rules of media engagement are strongly followed.
