Pastor Victor Ativie has commended the leadership of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), following a visit to the institution and the presentation of two Christian books to support its management and library.
Ativie presented complimentary copies of his books, Why Worry? and Faith That Works, to the hospital’s Chief Medical Director, Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu, on Monday, October 12, 2026.
Following the presentation, Ize-Iyamu expressed appreciation for the visit and took the clergyman on a tour of selected facilities, including recent infrastructural upgrades, the geriatric library and lounge, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), and the hospital’s day room.
During the tour, the CMD highlighted interventions undertaken under her administration through the UBTH CARES agenda, which focuses on improving healthcare delivery and strengthening the hospital’s facilities.
Impressed by the developments showcased during the visit, Ativie commended Ize-Iyamu’s leadership and offered prayers for her continued success.
According to the author, Faith That Works explores the nature of faith that pleases God, encouraging readers to pursue their purpose, make difficult decisions, and maintain trust in God amid uncertainty.
The books are expected to strengthen the hospital’s library collection and provide spiritual encouragement to patients seeking comfort during treatment and recovery.
The donation also highlights the potential contribution of religious literature to the emotional and spiritual well-being of patients within healthcare settings, while complementing the hospital’s broader commitment to patient care.
Pastor Victor Ativie commends UBTH CMD Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu and donates Why Worry? and Faith That Works to support the hospital’s library and patients.
