Popular Nigerian online streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has pleaded with critics to ease up on him, stressing that he is barely 20 years old and still learning the ropes of life and career.
Peller, who has faced heavy backlash over controversial remarks made during his TikTok livestreams, took to Instagram to express his frustration at what he described as “unfair criticism.”
According to him, critics often highlight his mistakes in short clips while ignoring the entertainment and value he delivers during hours-long livestreams.
“I streamed almost six hours, but a 30-second clip with good intention is being pushed to paint me wrongly. This happens often; negative clips get picked while the hours of work and joy are ignored,” he lamented.
He added: “I’m just 20, still figuring life out, trying to provide for myself and my family. Sometimes it feels like people don’t care if I break down or even lose myself in the process. I’ve never seen a 20-year-old dragged, put down, and torn apart like I am… but every single time, I rise again.”
Despite the backlash, Peller vowed to keep pushing forward, insisting that his journey as a content creator is only just beginning.
