On Thursday, the Ogun State Police Command announced the arrest of Alfa Jubril Dalamun, a resident of Imososi Street in Ago Iwoye, for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
The state’s police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated that the arrest followed a report made on October 22, 2024. A woman, residing on Adekoja Street in Abobi Ago Iwoye, accompanied her daughter to the police station to report the incident. According to her, on October 19, 2024, around 1:00 p.m., the 39-year-old cleric had forcibly assaulted the girl.
The victim was taken to Love and Care Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Police officers visited the scene of the crime, and the suspect was apprehended. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
