Police Neutralize Two Suspected Kidnappers, Rescue Relatives of Former Minister Adelabu in Ibadan
Nigerian security operatives have successfully rescued relatives of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following a coordinated anti kidnapping operation in Ibadan, Oyo State, during which two suspected kidnappers were killed, according to police authorities.
The victims, identified as close relatives of Adelabu, were abducted by armed criminals who reportedly intercepted them while they were travelling along a route in Oyo State. Security agencies subsequently launched a rescue mission after receiving intelligence on the whereabouts of the abductors.
According to the police, the operation led to an exchange of gunfire between officers and the suspected kidnappers. Two members of the gang were neutralized during the confrontation, while the kidnapped victims were rescued unharmed.
