Sani mourns the passing of a Kaduna lawmaker on June 18, 2023, three days after the Assembly’s inauguration

Garba Madami, a member of the People's Democratic Party who ran for office in the Kaduna House of Assembly and represented the Chikun Constituency, has passed away. Three days after her inauguration, Madami passed away at the hospital on Saturday. The late member of the 10th State Assembly was unable to attend the inauguration of the new members on June 13, 2023, due to an unidentified illness. In the meantime, Senator Uba Sani, the governor of the state, has expressed shock at the legislator's passing while offering his condolences to the legislator's family and the Chikun constituency. Sani mentioned that the legislator was highly respected and was well-known for advocating peaceful coexistence
