The Governor, addressing a jubilant crowd of party faithful, supporters, youths, market women, socio-cultural groups, and indigenes of Udomi at the Udomi Primary School grounds, expressed profound gratitude to the people of the state for their unwavering support and prayers throughout the election period and the prolonged legal battle.

“I am happy that we have come this far today. It is good news that the battle is over and God has given us victory all around. Now it is time to work for Edo people,” Governor Okpebholo declared.

He thanked the people for their steadfastness through the election and legal challenges, appreciating their resilience as the mandate was reaffirmed at every judicial stage from the Election Petition Tribunal to the Court of Appeal and finally the Supreme Court.

“Now that all disputes have been laid to rest, we will be more focused on bringing development to our people. We are determined to make life better for Edo people and will ensure transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness in governance,” the Governor assured.

Governor Okpebholo acknowledged the tough economic situation faced by many residents but urged collective resolve, assuring that “together, the challenges will be surmounted.”

He was accompanied on the visit by top government officials and APC leaders including the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor; State Acting Deputy Chairman, Sylvester Aigboboh; Commissioner for Finance, Emmanuel Okoebo; APC Edo Central Senatorial Leader, Gen. Cecil Esekhaigbe (Rtd), alongside several other government functionaries, party chieftains, and loyal supporters.
