President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on each member of Nigeriaās Super Falcons in celebration of their recent WAFCON (Womenās Africa Cup of Nations) victory.

āIn a historic gesture, the President also announced cash rewards of $100,000 (in naira equivalent) for each of the 24 players, and $50,000 for each member of the technical crew.

āBeyond the monetary recognition, Tinubu gifted each player a three-bedroom apartment, further solidifying his administrationās commitment to womenās football and national pride.

āThe President made the announcement during a special reception held in Abuja, praising the Super Falcons for ālifting the spirit of the nation and showcasing the strength of Nigerian women on the global stage.ā
