Di minister say North Central get plenty farmland, solid minerals, energy resources with beta location wey fit help di region bring investment, do industries and make plenti work for young pipo.

For wetin di minister talk, di Federal Government dey work on different road and bridge projects for di region. Among dem na Buruku-Logo Bridge and Makurdi-Gboko Road for Benue State, Mararaba-Keffi road expansion, Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-Maiduguri road corridor, Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue-Nasarawa-Abuja road, Gwada-Shiroro Road and di approved completion of di 71-kilometre Minna-Suleja Road for Niger State.

Di minister talk say roads no be only road projects. For am, better road connection fit make e easier for farmers to carry their farm produce reach market, reduce transport cost and create better opportunity for trade and investment.

Di government too point to mineral development as anoda area wey North Central fit use build stronger economy. Idris mention di recently commissioned $250 million lithium mining and processing plant for Nasarawa State as example of government effort to move Nigeria away from simply digging minerals and selling raw materials.

Di idea be say instead of exporting minerals without processing, Nigeria fit process plenti of di resources inside di kontri, create industries around dem and generate more value and jobs.

Agriculture na anoda major part of di plan. Di minister say Federal Government dey expand support for farm mechanisation, irrigation, financing, storage and processing. Di aim, according to am, na to make North Central stronger for agriculture and agro-processing.

North Central get states such as Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau, together with di Federal Capital Territory. Di region get large areas of farmland and mineral resources, while e also connect different parts of Nigeria through important road and trade routes.

Di government position be say if better infrastructure, security, farming, mineral processing, energy and human-capital development work together, dem fit help businesses grow and create more jobs.

Security also enter di minister speech. Idris say di Federal Government dey strengthen di military and police through recruitment, equipment, technology, intelligence sharing and stronger cooperation between security agencies.

He point to di rescue of 308 abducted Nigerians for Niger and Kwara states for August as one example of security agencies working togeda through intelligence-led operations.

Di minister too support di idea of state police, but e stress say any system of dat kind need strong rules to make sure say professionalism, accountability and proper control dey inside am.

For di summit, di North Central Development Commission also present a 20-year development direction wey focus on agriculture, agro-processing, minerals, infrastructure, digital connection, small businesses and regional economic corridors.

Di commission say di major challenge no be only to identify di resources wey North Central get, but to turn dos resources to productive businesses, good jobs and beta living conditions for pipo across di region.

Senator George Akume, wey represent President Tinubu for di meeting, say regional development commissions suppose help close development gaps and unlock di economic potential of different parts of Nigeria.

He also call on di North Central Development Commission to concentrate on projects wey pipo fit see and benefit from, especially for infrastructure, transportation, industries, security, education, health and skills development.

As Nigeria dey move toward 2027, di Information Minister say di government focus now na to turn di gains wey e say economic reforms don bring into more production, jobs, lower costs and beta income for citizens.

But di success of di plan go depend on how well government fit complete di projects, maintain infrastructure, attract private investment and make sure say benefits reach ordinary people across di region.

Di North Central development plan therefore go need more than government announcements. E go require steady project implementation, proper monitoring, transparent use of public money and cooperation between federal, state and local authorities, businesses and communities.

Di summit participants say di long-term target go be measurable improvement for security, farming, transportation, industries, businesses and employment across North Central.
